Superhouse is pleased to announce the third edition of its Super Group series, a semi-annual survey of contemporary art and design. The exhibition runs November 17, 2023 – January 7, 2024 at Superhouse Vitrine, 75 East Broadway, Second Floor, New York, New York.

For this installment of Super Group, Superhouse brought together painters, sculptors, jewelry makers, ceramicists, wood workers, interior designers, a baker, a nail artist, a fantasy coffin maker and more. Bridging the diverse practices of the 25 artists and designers on view is the form. Each has created a “vessel” interpreted through their own unique point of view. Demonstrating the broad expressions of this group is a monumental bronze planter by Carmen D’Apollonio, a terrazzo mask by Ficus Interfaith, a soft sculpture bag of party drugs by Al Freeman, a hot dog mini coffin by Paa Joe, and a special work by Peter Shire.

Decorative metallic globe with floral design, three round ceramic vases with different textures and colors, and a colorful abstract sculpture on a light green surface.

“This year’s installation is an exciting mix of perspectives and is perhaps the most super Super Group yet” says Stephen Markos, founder and director of Superhouse. “I’ve had a lot of fun curating this show.”
