Founded by Stephen Markos in 2020, Superhouse is a New York gallery dedicated to artists and designers whose work shapes the development of art, design, and contemporary craft.

The gallery presents research-driven exhibitions and works closely with artists, designers, estates, and archives across furniture, sculpture, fiber, ceramics, metalwork, and object-based practices.

A core focus of the program is the recovery and recontextualization of late-twentieth-century American art furniture and radical craft, including landmark works and practices that have often been overlooked within established art and design histories.

Alongside its historical program, Superhouse presents ambitious new work by contemporary artists from Africa, the Americas, and Europe, bringing global perspectives to materially driven art and design today.

Through exhibitions, fair presentations, institutional placements, and archival research, Superhouse is committed to expanding the narratives through which art, design, and craft are understood.
