While Studio 65 may be more well known for their Bocca sofa or Capitello chair, the smaller scale Tavolino a Fiore (“flower coffee table”) is equally as irreverent and radical in its design. Studio 65 fought the conventions of Modernism and the so-called “Good Design” creating Pop Art icons that transform living spaces. The table shown in Different Tendencies takes the shape of a flower. Instead of using a common hue, like pink or red, Studio 65 alters the viewer’s perception by painting it a uniform grassy green.

Acquired directly from Studio 65.
